Bucks Spread Cheer in Annual Visit to Children's Hospital

In December 2010, the Bucks showed their support of the MACC Fun and the fight against childhood diseases in a non-monetary way. Through friendly interactions with approximately 50 children, they were able to positively impact the day and the holiday season for the patients at CHW.

And that's why the sweet, blonde big sister was chosen to create this year's star. We visited the Janzen family at their home in Waukesha County.
New Protocol Studied for Key Intractable Pediatric Leukemias

Julie Talano, MD, assistant professor of pediatrics in hematology and oncology, is studying a new protocol in pediatric patients with intractable leukemias. Based on early safety results seen at six pediatric transplant centers participating in the study, the Medical College researchers at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin with support from the MACC Fund are now looking at the effectiveness of this treatment protocol.
