Midwest Airlines Seat Sale to Benefit the MACC Fund
Midwest Airlines will hold a public sale on Wednesday, January 27 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. of the classic seats that were flown on our MD-80 and Boeing 717 aircraft, with proceeds benefiting Milwaukee's own MACC Fund - Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.
Too heavy for in-flight service at today's fuel prices, the seats are perfectly fit for ground duty in your living room or anywhere else a comfortable seat that can double as a conversation piece might come in handy.
Seats will be sold in groups of two and three for $50 per set. While supplies last, the ever-popular and extra-spacious Signature seats will be available at no extra cost. There is a limit of one set of Signature seats per adult and a limit of two sets per adult on Saver seat purchases.
This special "classic seat sale" is the latest example of the generous support which Midwest Airlines has provided to the MACC Fund to help children with cancer and blood disorders through research since 1988. MACC Fund supported scientific research is conducted in the MACC Fund Research Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa and in the MACC Fund UW Childhood Cancer Research Wing at the Paul P. Carbone Cancer Center in Madison while translational clinical research is conducted in the MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Wauwatosa.
Since its inception in 1976, the MACC Fund has contributed $36 million to childhood cancer and blood disorder research in Wisconsin playing an important role in helping the overall cure rate for childhood cancer to rise from 20% to 80% in the past three decades. Be part of the fun and help the MACC Fund help kids by getting a piece of Milwaukee's aviation history at the Midwest Airlines Seat Sale to benefit the MACC Fund.
