2006 Urban Frog & Urban Tadpole set for June 17th
Downtown Milwaukee and the surrounding area will be the setting for the 5th annual Laacke & Joys/Mid-America Xtreme Urban Frog Adventure Race on Saturday, June 17th. Last year, between the Frog and it's shorter cousin, the Tadpole, it was the largest urban adventure race with 100 teams.
This year's presenting sponsors are Columbia Sportwear and Outpost Natural Foods. Also sponsoring this year will be Wisconsin Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin and Midwest Airlines Vacations.
Wisconsin's original urban race! Three-person co-ed teams will bike, in-line skate, stair
climb, rappel off a four-story building, paddle on the Milwaukee River and experience mystery events. The race will take 5-7 hours. Experienced and first-times love it! We'll have huge scwag to give a way including a trip from Midwest Airlines Vacations. Plus, we'll have a big bash at the end featuring a band and beer!
Net proceeds will benefit the MACC Fund and critical pediatric cancer research. The MACC Fund is proud to celebrate its 30th Birthday in 2006. Special thanks to friends at Laacke & Joys and their part in our goal of LIFE FOR CHILDREN.
