Dick and Kim Cates, along with their children Eric and Shannon, invite you and your family to join them on Sunday, October 12 for a great day of fun family activities this fall!! Enjoy the beauty of the changing colors of the trees while you walk or trail ride along groomed trails on their farm, located at 5992 Cty Hwy T in Spring Green.
The 4 hour trail ride will begin at 11:00 a.m., and the 1 1/2 hour ride will begin at 1:30 p.m. The 3 mile walk begins at 1:30 p.m. Camping is available at the Cates farm on Saturday night by calling 608-588-2836.
Keep your eyes open for trout and bass in the ponds and streams, and turkey or deer roaming in the lush pastures, as you hike to a hill-top vista overlooking the farm. A light, healthy snack and plenty of refreshing spring water will be provided for all of the participants. After the events, enjoy horse and wagon rides, live music, cowboy poetry and a post-event BBQ until 5 p.m. It’s sure to be a day to remember!
This good time will be held to raise money for a good cause. The entry fee of $15 per person or $35 per family will benefit the MACC Fund - Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc., and its efforts to support childhood cancer research.
The MACC Fund is very special to the Cates family. This day of the farm is a loving tribute to their son and brother, Peter, who lost his battle with leukemia on May 11, 1994. We hope you will join us for a great day of helping kids with cancer while you enjoy the day with your own family.
Proud sponsors of this event include Gingras, Cates & Luebke, S.C., Cardinal CG Company, the Kraemer Company and Braes Feed Ingredients.
