Remembering Emmett Steele - the 15th Annual Mid-Summer Night's Remembrance
Upon his unexpected death on March 4th, 1995, Emmett Steele left a substantial sum of money to the MACC Fund. In his will, Emmett wrote, "I know how your wives and kids and your jobs can sneak up on a guy and create a little stress, but if I can leave you with one thought, try this - life throws you a curve ball, compare your problems to what these kids are going through - it should make you a better person and that's the best memory I want."
Emmett's spirit of generosity lives on with the Emmett Steele Memorial Foundation. The foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization and has raised $450,000 for the MACC Fund in the last 14 years.
Emmett’s close friends will honor his memory and live out his last wishes by hosting the Fourteenth Annual Mid-Summer Night’s Remembrance on August 6, 2010 at the Saddle & Cycle Club, 900 W. Foster in Chicago. To join us for this very special night, please download the invitation form. If you are unable to join us for this very special evening, please consider a donation to the MACC Fund in Emmett’s memory, by visiting us at http://emmettsteele.kintera.org.
