Web Posted: Feb. 10, 2004

Trek Bicycle Corporation and the MACC Fund, Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc., are pleased to present the inaugural Century Club Celebration on Friday, June 4.

The Century Club will reward the fundraising efforts of riders who are raising money for childhood cancer research and will be riding in the 15th Annual Trek 100 Ride for Hope on Saturday, June 5th. Three-time Tour de France Champion Greg LeMond will be the honorary chairman of the Century Club. Registration is limited. Participants need to turn in at least $1000 by the May 21st deadline in order to be eligible.

Trek Bicycle, as title sponsor of the Trek 100, together with the MACC Fund will be joining forces for the fifteenth consecutive year to support research for childhood cancer. The Trek 100 is the MACC Fund's premier athletic event and one of the largest fund raising efforts for childhood cancer research in the United States. Collectively the Trek 100 has contributed over $4.4 million to support pediatric cancer research. Our goal for 2004 is to reach the $5 million mark.

As a member of the Century Club, riders will enjoy a very special evening on Friday that will include a private ride with Greg LeMond and other celebrities. Following the ride, Century Club members are invited to attend a private party where they will enjoy a cocktail reception, wine tasting, and pasta dinner, an acoustic concert with a National Act, and a drawing for a chance to win a Trek Travel Trip for two to see Lance Armstrong at the 2004 Tour de France.

Call the Trek 100 Hotline at 1-800-248-TREK for information as to how you can become a member of the Century Club.
