The 36 Bucks MACC Fund games have raised $1.3 million since the first game was played in 1977, one year after the MACC Fund was started during a Bucks game on December 10, 1976 honoring the retirement of "The Original Buck" - Jon McGlocklin. The Bucks broadcaster Eddie Doucette had a 2-year-old son, Brett, who was diagnosed with cancer. Brett's battle was the impetus for the MACC Fund. Brett is now married and regarded as the MACC Fund's first "success story."
