A Tisket . A Tasket. Put Hope in Your Basket!
For the 21st consecutive year, the grocery industry will unite in the name of supporting pediatric cancer research with the "It's in the Bag" program running April 3rd through May 31st in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Sponsored by Advantage Sales & Marketing and the manufacturers they represent, It’s in the Bag has raised more than $2 million since its inception thanks to the support of consumers, grocery warehouses, retailers and manufacturers.
"It's in the Bag" is one of the longest sustaining programs benefiting a charity in Wisconsin.
How does it work? Easy! Just look for the "It's in the Bag" logo while you shop participating grocery stores from April 3rd through May 31st. Make your grocery duties more special by purchasing specially marked "It's in the Bag" products and help children with cancer.
Participating brands will be identified in Wisconsin grocery stores with special signs bearing this year's theme, "A tisket . A tasket. Put hope in your basket."
As an added incentive to help raise funds, consumers who purchase five participating brands during the promotional period are encouraged to turn in their receipts for a free $5.00 grocery gift card.
It’s in the Bag introduced the MACC Fund to the grocery industry in 1985 thanks to the efforts of Doug Geske, long-time MACC Fund board member and president of Advantage Sales & Marketing, Chicago-Wisconsin hub. The grocery industry as a whole has been and continues to be a wonderful friend to the MACC Fund and children with cancer.
