Commentary from Jim Paschke
We are here tonight to pay tribute to, and help the victims of another faceless, cowardly attacker. Many of you in this room have been part of the fight for many years as you have helped the MACC Fund offer hope. The resolve to win the fight against childhood cancer motivates us to use whatever means possible through research and human ingenuity inspired by God. Our great nation will use the same to bring justice to the faceless cowards who stole our precious loved ones as cancer has far too many times. We mourn the loss of life as we remember the victims this evening, the victims of Tuesdays attacks and the victims of childhood cancer. We feel the need to celebrate the MACC Funds 25-year "Gift of Hope through research to children with cancer." The children do not cower in fear. They attack this insidious disease with help from good people like you. The United States will not cower in fear either, because of good people like you. Tonight we will raise important dollars for the war against childhood cancer as we celebrate the life of the MACC Fund. A life that has given hope to children for 25 years. We will lift our collective spirits to celebrate life, as together, we help make miracles happen. Thank you for being with us. Please join me in this moment of silence.
