Candy Cane Lane - Calendar of Events

The 24th year of making a difference in the life of a child with cancer opened on November 28th. Take a trip down Candy Cane Lane in West Allis and share in the true spirit of the season.

The West Allis neighborhood from Oklahoma to Montana Avenues and from 92nd to 96th Streets is transformed into a winterwonderland throughout December to benefit the MACC Fund.

For 24 years running, neighbors have joined together to share Christmas.

Lights will be aglow from November 28th to December 27th. Monday through Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. and from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

The event is free, but donations are welcome. Every donations represents an investment in the perpetual gift of hope and life for children with cancer and related blood disorders.

A variety of events have been scheduled on Candy Cane Lane:

December 3 - Go Panthers! UW-M Women's Basketball members will collect donations from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

December 4 - Meet Karen, Scott, and Radar from FM106.1's morning "Moo Crew!" They'll be there from 6 to 8 p.m.

December 5 - Old Wisconsin Sausage/Majedcki's Sentry Night - sample tasty treats. Old Wisconsin has committed to donate 10% of their sales to Candy Cane Lane...so stock up on your favorite holiday party snacks.

December 6 - Meet Murphy, Meg, and Brian from 95.7 WRIT from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

December 8 - Meet Jane, Kidd, and producer Tony from 99.1 WMYX's Jane and Kidd in the Morning Show from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

December 10 - Meet Michelle Stone from 95.7 WRIT from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

December 12 - Say "THANK YOU" to your Wisconsin Vietnam Veterans as they continue to serve their communities!!

December 12 - The Annual Mascot Night with mascots from your favorite teams and businesses

December 13 - Talented artists carve ice blocks into art in front of neighborhood homes starting at 10 a.m. Come stroll through the neighborhood to see them before they're gone!

December 13 - StarWars character night! An amazing cast of characters to entertain the crowds!

December 14 - Meet your Milwaukee Bucks' Energee Dance Team from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m.

December 15 - Diamond Dancers Night - come out and meet the professional dance team of Milwaukee's Major League Baseball Team from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

December 18 - Armed Forces Night from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Come out and support your troops!

December 19 - They can handle the heat, but can they handle the cold?? Meet West Allis' fire fighters! Bring the whole family to see fire engines, ladder trucks, and paramedic units. Great safe fun for everyone!

December 22 - The Diamond Dancers make a return appearance from 8 to 10 p.m.
