TODAY’S TMJ4 and the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.) will collaborate with a young boy named Nick Pucek to create this year’s TODAY’s TMJ4 MACC*Star. Designing the 2003 MACC*Star is Nick’s way of supporting the MACC Fund’s fight against childhood cancer.
Net proceeds from the sale of the TODAY’S TMJ4 MACC*Star will raise important dollars for the fight against childhood cancer. This special holiday ornament represents hope and life to all children with cancer
You can purchase the 2003 TODAY’S TMJ4 MACC*Star via our Shop for Hope Store for $10.00 — advanced orders will be shipped after November 28th. The TODAY’S TMJ4 MACC Star will be on sale starting in November for $10.00 at Quality Candy Shoppes and Buddy Squirrel Nut Shops in metro Milwaukee and Madison’s Hilldale Mall while supplies last.
A limited amount of MACC*Stars can also be ordered through the MACC Fund office by calling 456-5830. Alternatively, you can download an order form an FAX it to us at 414-456-6170.
Net proceeds from the sale of the TODAY’S TMJ4 MACC*Star ornament support childhood cancer research.
Seven-year-old Nick Pucek is this year’s MACC*Star designer, has benefited from MACC Fund supported research since he was diagnosed in November 2001 with rhabdomyosarcoma. He will start a new year at North Lake Elementary School in North Lake where he will enter the second grade.
Nick is an avid sports fan and enjoys all sports, but especially football. He is a big Green Bay Packer fan and is going to the pre-season game on August 28. He also enjoys sailing and riding his bike. He and his brother Mark, age 9, lead more than 2000 riders across the starting line at the Trek 100 bike ride held on June 7 in Pewaukee.
TODAY’S TMJ4 has been a proud sponsor of the MACC Fund and their fight against childhood cancer. Nick will work with the television station’s graphic arts department in designing the MACC*Star. Look for Nick to appear in public service announcements aired exclusively on TODAY’S TMJ4 throughout November and December.
The primary beneficiary of MACC Fund support is the Midwest Children’s Cancer Center. Research is conducted in the MACC Fund Research Center of the Medical College of Wisconsin, and at the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center in Madison.
